You need a break from your job? You want to fill the time between school and vocational training doing something worthwhile, learn a language and at the same time be helpful for public welfare of the country you are visiting? All these things can be combined in a volunteer service. You carry out a social or ecological service and help with work concerning children, disabled people, in old people homes, in health services, in ecological projects and similar things. This way you get in touch with people, learn the language and get to know the culture of the country you are visiting in a unique way. Since 1995, Experiment e.V. offers a wide range of volunteer services in different countries of the world. There are different options. First, there is he European Volunteer Service (sponsored by the YOUTH programme of the European Union) which offers 6 to 12 month placements within the framework of the EVS in the member states of the EU. Placements in associated states can be arranged. This programme is aimed at young people between 18 and 25. More information about the program can be found here. Those who do not have enough time or who prefer can do this by participating in the VIP - Volunteers for International Partnership programme. VIP offers the opportunity to attend volunteer services in the countries of the Experiment Federation (see EIL-Federation). A wide variety of projects from health services to education programmes and environment projects is open to you in the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Yemen. On the home page to this programme (www.partnershipvolunteers.org) you will find more precise descriptions about the different project opportunities and prices, information on the individual countries, partner offices and on all things worth knowing about this programme. You will see a description of the individual volunteer services in German language by double-clicking on the respective names of the countries. In addition to the VIP programmes, which we carry out with the Experiment partner offices, we offer similar volunteer services with experienced partner organisations in different countries. USA, New Zealand, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Togo belong to these countries. The difference here is that partners are self-sufficient in these countries and do not belong to the EIL-Federation. In all our volunteer service programmes, participants have to be at least 18 years or older (exception: Ecuador from 20 years) .
