When ethnic groups or nations engage in war, prejudices, ignorance and a lack of understanding for the other side are usually at least partly responsible for this dilemma.
The more familiar we become with the lifestyle and way of thinking of other cultures, the easier it is to live side by side with them. For this reason, our aim and dedication lies in the support and promotion of cultural exchange, in order to contribute to mutual understanding and respect between societies.

THE HOMESTAY AS A MEANS OF INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING

Instead of living in a hotel while abroad, our participants are welcomed as a temporary member of a host family. In this way they are integrated into the new culture and environment right from the beginning, making it easier for them to learn the true everyday life in the host community and country.

Experiment e.V.

Experiment e.V. has been active since 1932 and registered as a non-profit organization in Germany since 1952.  They are the German representative of an internationally operating umbrella organization, the Federation Experiment in International Living.

Although the offered programs and possible participants have broadened throughout the years, the exchange still stands under the motto:

LIVING TOGETHER – LEARNING TOGETHER

In the hope for the possibility of a more peaceful world, Experiment e.V. is dedicated to the idea of cultural exchange among people of different origins, giving them the opportunity to live together and learn together.
